In May 2016 Manchester Pig Save worked with the local council in Bradford to find a safe home for ‘Leo’, a feral pig who had been roaming the streets of Fagley for almost a year. Although Leo was adored by the majority of the community where he lived a few deemed him a nuisance and had threatened to kill him next time he wandered onto their farm land. A group of determined Manchester Pig Save members tracked down the pig and enticed him into a trailer so that he could be moved to his new location. He is now extremely happy in his new home where he is able to forage for food naturally, sleep in a secure dry shelter and socialise with other animals and humans. Leo’s charming character is unforgettable, he loves to mix with all types of animals and he is great with children too.
